How it all started
UpcycledHOME Magazine is an online magazine that seeks to connect upcyclers and DIYers across the globe with creative, inspirational, and practical information in fresh and down-to-earth ways. We do this primarily, but not exclusively, via magazine publications, monthly eNewsletters, and online resources.
UpcycledHOME Magazine was founded in August 2020 in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, by a small group of friends and colleagues. The initial idea was to reach out to upcyclers all over the globe who considered themselves furniture artists and DIYers who focus on saving discarded and unwanted pieces from the landfills and giving them new life and purpose.
From the beginning, our mission has been to grow a community of upcyclers worldwide that would celebrate our unique crafts and artistry while inspiring and promoting a greener environment. UpcycledHOME Magazine aims to encapsulate what we were doing: demonstrating and cataloging the myriad ways in which all of us put our creative skills and talents into each piece.
We aim to do so in a way that is both educating and inspiring, always looking for new ways to expand your knowledge and creativity.
UpcycledHOME Magazine is made possible by the generous submissions of upcyclers and artists like you.
